McQuade Property Consultancy was appointed to advise on a dispute between the client and their contractor and to report on the level and quality of works completed.

The following services were provided:

  • Reviewed the project documentation and carried out a site inspection to assess and report on the level of works completed.
  • Advised the client on the dispute resolution options and entered into correspondence with the client’s contractor in a bid to get him to commit to mediation.
  • Followed a structured approach to try to resolve the dispute and demonstrate the client’s willingness to resolve matters.
  • Provided the client with independent correspondence and evidence clearly demonstrating the contractor’s unwillingness to resolve the dispute to enable them to pursue a resolution through the legal system.
